We will welcome these pilgrims to the wider community at the post-Walk gathering on
Of Walks, servanthood and fellowship
Praise God for the success of Walks 69 and 70 held at Sumcay in September. As a result, 24 men and 35 women have joined our growing PE Emmaus Community.
Date: Saturday, 14 October
Where: St John’s Anglican Church, Church Road, Walmer
Please join us for a time of testimony, fellowship and feasting (the usual bring and share lunch applies). Wear BRIGHT COLOURS and bring your service and song books and name tags.
While at the gathering, we’ll learn a little more about the importance of sponsoring others; the opportunity of joining an Accountability group or starting a new one, and the benefits of working on a Walk or Flight.
Walks 71 and 72
Applications to attend these Walks on 10 to 13 May (Men) and 17 to 20 May (Women) are open, as are applications for serving on the team. The cost is R950. Given that you already know the dates, the cost and that 11 women and five men have already volunteered to be God’s hands and feet for these Walks, we’re encouraging you to apply soonest. You have eight months to plan and save. Please ensure that your name is on the list soonest as a team selection meeting is being held later this month.
It is also not too early to sponsor someone either. Please register on our website at https://www.pe-emmaus.co.za/teamformation.php
A final fellowship and fundraising event for 2017 –
a music trivia evening - has been planned for Kenton-on-Sea on Saturday 28 October. Tickets are R50. Please contact Doug Swanson on 083 625 1789 or André Steyn on 082 923 6292 to be part of a fun evening.
Are you being called to serve in a new ministry? Our board is seeking volunteers for the positions of Treasurer and IT / Communication support for 2018. We meet 10 times a year towards ensuring the smooth running of the PE Emmaus community – and have much fun as we do so. Perhaps this is where you need to serve? Please contact me on firstname.lastname@example.org
In 2019, the PE Emmaus Community will be hosting the South African Emmaus Ministry’s Annual General meeting. This coincides with our 20th birthday. We are seeking volunteers to help with the planning of this national event as well as those who would like to serve. Please contact Stella Swanson on email@example.com
We look forward to welcoming you on 14 October.
