Walks 71 and 72
We have been blessed in preparing for these Walks, and ask that you pray for the blessings to continue.
72hr Prayer Vigil
We still have 2 open times for the Mens walk this weekend: Sunday 13th May from 14h30-15h00 or 17h00-17h30. How about it? -- Sign up on our website at www.pe-emmaus.co.za or email firstname.lastname@example.org
Please be reminded that as soon as we bid our pilgrims farewell on Thursday (10 and 17 May), we will move to the chapel to pray for each pilgrim.
We’re having a bring ‘n share supper from 6.30pm in the main dining room at Sumcay before candlelight starts at 7.30pm on Saturday 12th May for the Men’s Walk, and then again for the Ladies’ Walk on Saturday, 19 May.
Join us at Sumcay on Sunday, 13 May, at 2.30pm to hear the testimonies of our 16 new pilgrims and welcome them to the PE Emmaus community, and again for our ladies on the following Sunday (20 May).
The Post-Walk Gathering will take place at St John’s Anglican Church, Church Road, Walmer, at 11am on Saturday 2 June. A bring ‘n share lunch in the church hall will follow the service.
Serve on the Board
The following portfolios – each with a three-year term of office - are vacant or soon will be:
If bookkeeping, accountancy and numbers is a talent of yours, please consider sharing it by joining us for a three-year term. You preferably need access to an accounting software package, and time enough to balance the books, and facilitate some fundraising plans.
Are you organized, efficient and reliable? If so, then your help will soon be needed in continuing to keep us all connected with your secretarial services.
Remember how special the gifts and letters from complete strangers made you feel on your Walk? Are you called to facilitate this ministry by liaising with Accountability groups in providing these love offerings.
The Board is responsible for the good governance of Emmaus, it reports to the Upper Room in America and meets ten times a year. You may not work on walks when on the Board. We also have great fellowship. So drop me a mail on email@example.com if you would like to volunteer or nominate a member of the community.
Volunteers for Walks 73 and 74
Please volunteer now to serve on team for our September walks led by Theodore Hockey and Erica Sing-Key respectively. Remember we need a mix of experiences – newbies and Emmaus junkies and everyone else in between. We’d like forms in by mid-June, so fill in your form today to ensure your selection.
The walks will happen from 6 to 9 September (Men) and 13 to 16 September (Ladies) with compulsory team formation on 4 and 5 August and 18 August at Erica School.
The cost is R950. https://www.pe-emmaus.co.za/teams.php

New laptop and data projector
Our laptop and data projector need to be urgently replaced as they have reached the end of their life span. This is likely to cost approx R13 000 . If you are able to help us off-set this cost in any way, please contact Vanessa Scarr on email@example.com
In conclusion …
We’re fully reliant on God and trust Him in our needs in growing this ministry. We look forward to your ongoing support!
