Do not delay - Pilgrims needed for Men's Walk
We have a week until 23rd August which is the cut off for Men's pilgrim applications. To honour EMSA's requirements of a minimum of 20 pilgrims per walk, we need another 7 men. Please prayfully consider which men in your community you can sponsor and get those application forms sent to Charmaine Potgieter at email@example.com
Praise God that the Ladies' Walk 74 is already full.
The winner of the Karoo lamb is Andre Steyn. The runners-up prizes were bagged by Annrose van Eck and Mary Yoell, who kindly forewent their carnivorous cravings, ensuring that more than R10 000 was raised for Emmaus costs.
The community is hosting another Chinese food and bingo evening on Saturday 25 August with tickets at R100. This time the fun evening is taking place at St Francis Xavier Church in Kabega Park. To offset our costs, we are appealing for prizes valued at R120 or more from members of the community. Contact firstname.lastname@example.org
Seeds were planted, and tummies filled at the PE Emmaus Community’s first breakfast for clergy held at Westering Methodist Church on 11 August. The event was hosted as a thank-you to those whom we are trusting will continue to encourage their congregants to consider the life-changing benefits of this ministry for themselves and the churches they serve. Christmas in July Tea
About 160 paying guests attended a Christmas in July Tea where educator and guidance counsellor Kathy Balshaw shared the five love languages. While fellowship continues to be the focus of our Fourth Day gatherings, we were also blessed to raise little more than R11 000.
We are seeking two successors for the portfolios of secretary and agape. Perhaps that is you, or you can recommend a member of the community who has the relevant skill set and willingness to serve in this vital ministry. Contact email@example.com to learn more.
