Please support our Caterpillars of Girls Flight #9 this weekend

Chrysalis candlelight/torchlight and other community events during the flight ....

Please hold our 2017 caterpillars - 24 girls (7- 9 July) and 21 boys (14 to 16 July) - in prayer.

In abiding with the rules of the new venue, Cape Recife School in Admiralty Way, Summerstrand (just past University Way), we are adapting the traditional candlelight session by instead using torchlight. Therefore, please bring a torch to help recreate the candlelight hour. Use your discretion as to your choice of light, and consider bringing a second or third light for friends who may forget their torch.

Weekend times

Registration using University Way entrance (GPS -33.998790, 25.669806) [press 50 at the gate] is between 7.15am and 8.15am on Friday (Girls - 7th July, Boys - 14th July), followed by sponsors’ hour at 8.30am.

Candlelight: please be at Cape Recife (University Way entrance) by 7.20pm. Once inside, turn left toward the garages and park facing the fence. Enter the school at the back door near the kitchen and you will be guided to the chapel. Don’t forget your torch.

Closing: Please be seated by 2.10pm on Sunday. Entry for closing is via the front entrance in Admiralty Way (GPS -33.996637, 25.667858).

Similarly, please prayerfully consider those you should sponsor to experience the blessing of Emmaus as a tool to grow individuals and further empower the church. As you know, Emmaus and Chrysalis can change lives!

The link for pilgrim applications is http://www.pe-emmaus.co.za/applicationforms.php

Print the form out and give it to the individual or individuals you wish to sponsor soonest.

To get a better understanding of the importance of sponsorship, please read and complete the Sponsors Checklist that is included with the download above.

The cost is R900 for both team and pilgrims. We look forward to receiving your forms. Do not delay.

Planning for an exciting Emmaus future

The Port Elizabeth Emmaus Community will celebrate its 20th birthday in 2019 and host the annual general meeting of the country's 12 Emmaus Ministry communities then too.   But if you think this is far into the future, please know that the 2017 PE Emmaus Board strategic planning session looked five years ahead in imagining the kind of community we would like to be by 2023.
