EMSA Welcome to the Family
Dearest Pilgrim,It is with unspeakable joy that I welcome you as a member of our Emmaus family. I am so excited to receive you as part of the Emmaus Community.
I believe that the Walk to Emmaus affected you as deeply as it did many thousands over the years and all over the world and that God has indeed changed your life in a very real and, maybe, unexpected way. I believe that you are leaving the Walk as a different person, a disciple with a renewed commitment to your faith, your family and your church.
If the Walk has moved you closer to God, which I believe it did, I strongly encourage you to return to your congregation to invest yourself as a disciple of
Jesus Christ and to take the hand of the church leadership in bringing renewal to your congregation.
As you know, the Walk to Emmaus continuous in the Fourth Day, as disciples bring renewal to their local congregations, make disciples and work towards making the world more Christian. So, the weekend has come to an end, but there is much more to learn and to accomplish. This is done through being intentional disciples of Jesus Christ and agents of renewal.
I encourage you to offer yourself to your local church and to Christ as a selfless servant, employing your gifts and graces where they are needed in the local congregation.
In the words of the Apostle Paul to Timothy, “I remind you to fan into flame the gift of God which is in you.” (2 Timothy 1:6).
Walk with God in your Fourth Day as you keep those spiritual fires burning.
